FAIR-VASARI PROJECT FOR THE TECHNOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATION OF THE INDUSTRIAL SECTOR WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND VIRTUAL REALITY

The VASARI project (Virtual reAlity and Simbiotic ARtificial intelligence in Industrial operation simulation), developed by MTM Project as part of Spoke 6 (Symbiotic AI) of FAIR – Future Artificial Intelligence Research and funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU, represents an important step forward in the digital transformation of the industrial sector.

The VASARI project

VASARI is an innovative project that uses generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support operators in industrial activities, such as maintenance, assembly, production and quality control.

Using Large Language Models (LLM) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies, the system can automatically extract instructions and procedures from technical documentation, organizing them in a quickly and efficiently searchable repository. This reduces information search times, improving operator productivity.

The project also integrates Virtual Reality (VR) environments to allow users to simulate industrial procedures in realistic scenarios, receiving real-time voice assistance through verbal commands processed by AI. This immersive interaction accelerates learning, improves safety, and enables a deeper understanding of complex processes.

VASARI represents a new paradigm in industrial support: a proactive, intelligent, and immersive system that optimizes resources, promotes ongoing training, and increases operational efficiency.

How it works

Vasari automatically analyzes large volumes of technical documentation (manuals, operating guides, SOPs) using advanced Natural Language Processing algorithms.
The AI ​​identifies procedures, organizes them, and archives them in a structured repository, always ready for use.

When an operator needs assistance, Vasari provides targeted instructions, drastically reducing search times and operational errors.
All in natural, clear, and immediate language.

Simulate in virtual reality

Through an immersive VR interface, you can explore procedures step-by-step, receive real-time feedback, and train in a safe and realistic environment.
No more talking: thanks to ASR + LLM technology, Vasari understands voice commands and adapts the experience to the user.
